Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs)
What is home physiotherapy?
Home physiotherapy involves a physiotherapist visiting you at home to provide treatment, exercises, and rehabilitation tailored to your needs. It’s ideal for those with mobility issues, post-surgery recovery, or conditions that make traveling difficult
What happens during my first appointment?
During your first session, I will:
– Ask you to complete a pre-assessment registration form and consent document
– Discuss your medical history, symptoms, and any relevant health conditions to understand your needs.
– Assess your current ability and function, including movement, strength, and flexibility.
– Provide a personalized treatment plan and outline potential ongoing sessions.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your condition. Some people may need only a few sessions, while others with long-term conditions may benefit from ongoing support and rehabilitation
What areas do you cover?
I provide home physiotherapy services across Leicester and surrounding areas. If you’re unsure whether I cover your location, feel free to get in touch.
Can a family member or carer be present during the session?
Yes! Family members or carers are welcome to be present for support and assistance during your sessions
Do you accept insurance for physiotherapy sessions?
Yes! I accept AVIVA, AXA, and Vitality health insurance for physiotherapy treatments. If you have a policy with one of these providers, please check with them to confirm your coverage and any required pre-authorizations. If you need help with the process, feel free to contact me.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a charge. If a cancellation is made under 24 hours before the appointment, the full cost of the session may be incurred. This policy helps ensure availability for other clients who need appointments.
